Hi, I’m John, a third-year maths student from Liverpool and your KCSU President. I represent students in discussions with College and help coordinate the committee’s work. Hi! I’m Ainoa (they/them), the Chair of the KCSU. I’m a HSPS student studying social anthropology. My role is to run exec and open meetings, organise elections and be there for the exec. I’m here for you if you have any questions about the KCSU, want to run as an officer and generally speaking just a person to email if you are not sure who else to contact! If I personally can’t help you, I will know someone who can :)

Welfare

Hi, we are Freddie and Frances, and we are here for all your welfare needs and concerns. Aside from hosting weekly Welfare Tea and planning our annual Welfare Day, we both routinely meet with members of the Welfare team in college to ensure that students have accessible, up to date Welfare provisions in college, and run the college family system you will all be familiar with! If you ever have a concern, no matter how big or small, we are here for you so please reach out.

Hi, I am Rachel, a third year History and Politics student and your Domus officer! I am responsible for representing students wants, needs and concerns in anything related to accommodation and catering. Please email me if there is anything you want to talk about or issues you'd like to raise!

BME

Hi all! I’m Troy, the current BME officer for King’s. My role is to make sure King’s always feels like home for our BME students. I work closely with our BME tutor Dr Preveez Mody to make sure that the College leadership is receptive to the concerns of our community. I host food events every other week where anyone in our college community can come along to relax, have a nice chat and eat some food. Feel free to come chat to me at anytime if you have any concerns or any recommendations on how we can improve the BME experience at King’s!

LGBTQ+

Hello, we're Maria (second year Classicist) and Clara (second year Linguist), your LGBTQ+ Officers! We run fun queer events in King's and with other colleges to give you a chance to meet other LGBTQ+ people and get to know the queer community in Cambridge. We plan a range of relaxed activities, from movie and games nights and picnics to the annual LGBTQ+ formal and events surrounding Pride - we are also available to chat about any issues or concerns you may have. Moreover, if you'd like to make use of the college's Gender Expression Fund, contact us!!! And if you spy us around the college - come and introduce yourself! :)

Access

Hey! We’re Jasmine (MML) and Maya (PBS), your Access Officers. Within our role, we focus on widening outreach and participation to prospective students as well as supporting the current student body with anything access related. We support initiatives such as the Access Bus, open days, and organise events for those who are part of the Turing Support Scheme. Overall, our goal is to make sure all students at King’s feel comfortable and welcome here! Outside of the KCSU, we both love art and fashion. Hi! I'm Mare, a second year Psychological and Behavioural Sciences student and your Education Officer! I'm a point of contact for any education-related queries and represent undergraduate students on the Library, E-lab and Education Committees. I am working on creating intermission packages and optimising study spaces. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any issues or questions related to education, I am always available to help!

Hi, I’m Ningfei, a penultimate-year Classicist. As Coordinator, I attend all Executive and Open Meetings, take minutes, and share key updates with the student body. Sports, Societies, and Freshers

Hello! I’m Maria, your SSF officer! I’m a Classics Prelim, and I am the person to send an email to if you would like to set up - or need support managing - a society or help out on sports day or be on the Freshers’ committee! Equally, if you yourself are a fresher or an incoming student, feel free to drop me an email or message the Instagram with any concerns you may have, or even just to say hi! I am the person to talk to if you want to find out what sports and societies King’s has to offer, and can also point you in the right direction for organising gym membership or booking a squash court… Importantly, I am also the person to email with regards to acquiring college stash!!!

International

Hi! We are Ningfei and Vlad, final-year Classicist and Mathmo, respectively. As International officers, we are here to listen and help with any queries from international students. We also work closely with members of the Executive Committee to bring exciting events for the international community at King's. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to get in touch!

Treasurers

Hello! We are Dil and Eugene, your joint Treasurers, and we are 2nd year engineer and comp-sci respectively. We are responsible for reimbursing societies, setting the KCSU budgets in Michaelmas and we attend college committee meetings. We are also a part of the SFC, that approves new societies and allocates funding in early Michaelmas. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about reimbursements or want to discuss your budget for next year. Also please let us know if there are any concerns you would like us to raise at committee we attend - particularly where college spends their money, their investments, donations etc.

Greens

Hi, I’m Alex, a fourth year Engineer and your Greens and Environment Officer. I engage and inform students about sustainability in college and help run events such as clothes swaps, second-hand sales, garden tours and more, where students can get involved to reduce their carbon footprints or appreciate nature more. I also set up and run the Library of Things alongside my fellow LofTkeepers and sit on the college’s Sustainability Committee and the Gardens Committee, do get in touch if you have any concerns, thoughts or questions, especially don’t be afraid to ask about recycling information!

Computer

Hello, I'm Lucas, I'm a third year Computer Science student. As your Computer Officer, I'm responsible for the maintenance of the KCSU website (this one!), Library of Things, KiFoMaSy, and other online platforms that KCSU runs. I attend college IT committee meetings to advocate for any IT-related issues that you may have. Do not hesitate to contact me if you face any technical issues; I'll do my best to help you out!
